Nestled in the Sandy Lane Estate on the West Coast of Barbados, Elsewhere is a luxury villa suffused in greenery that transports you to a mythical space between the ocean and the clouds. Arise to the antics of green monkeys in the gardens, observe the hummingbirds, sailing ships and flowering trees by day and catch the soul-stirring views of the sunset each evening. The breeze constantly flows through the various courtyards, patios, loggias, balconies, and terraces of this villa that sprawls over two acres on a ridge with sweeping views.
This ten bedroom luxury vacation rental is a labour of love, furnished elegantly to the highest standard and fitted with magical lights, works of art, beautiful brickwork and imaginatively created spaces where guests can entertain and relax.
The main house has two wings with six en suite bedrooms, a living room, covered patio, kitchen, and courtyard. A charming loggia and bar area overlooking the front and back gardens is one of the focal points of the house.
The pool house has two en suite bedrooms above a large poolside lounge area and bar.
A charming garden cottage, with a living room and two en suite bedrooms, opens to a private lawn and mahogany grove.
Elsewhere is a five-minute drive (or a 15-minute walk) from the beautiful Sandy Lane Owners Beach Club where guests have free access to a beach cabana, beach loungers, umbrellas, snack bar, washrooms and showers.
Some of the best restaurants and duty-free shopping in Barbados is close at hand as are some of the island’s most desirable golf courses. The villa manager and incredibly helpful concierge service will point the way and help you select activities during your stay.
Our chef Debra along with the entire staff are warm and welcoming. Additional hands will ensure your drinks are topped, clothes spiffed up and massage is booked.
Elsewhere has every imaginable amenity from parking space for six cars, high-speed internet throughout, a fully equipped gym, air conditioning in most spaces, flat screen televisions, high-quality speakers, and a top-notch security system. What a blessing it has been to stay at "Elsewhere", here in beautiful Barbados to celebrate a family 40th birthday. Elsewhere is really home away from home; It felt so warm and the details of the interior were so stunning and so considered, we could tell every detail was put together with love. We (8 of us) from all over Argentina, Nigeria, UK & US have really enjoyed the grounds from the pool to the beautiful tropical gardens; we've also been able to explore the island, the Animal Flower Cave, Carlisle beach, Folkstone beach and Paynes bay + a beautiful catamaran ride on Silver Moon. We also celebrated our family birthday at The Cliff which was stunning. The best part of the trip was the amazing staff at Elsewhere. Debra and Winston looked after us so well; we didn't even really want to eat out because the cooked meals were honestly the best we had eaten. I pray that everyone who stays here experiences the love + laughter we have experienced during our time here!

What a truly amazing stay. There aren't enough words of gratitude and appreciation to describe our stay. We came with a work group and while work was the main focus, there were still many memories made! Lots of fun in the sun! Delicious communal meals! Debra's cooking had us satisfied every day. Utina is the absolute best. She ALWAYS took care of us and ensured we were relaxed and enjoying ourselves. She is truly a sweetheart. Victor and Adrian were always so kind and helpful. We were even able to take the yellow bus into town with Adrian which is a memory I'll never forget. Our time at Elsewhere was truly special and made even more special because of the AMAZING staff.

The staff and the beauty of Elsewhere combined to make this holiday one of our favourites! We came with a group of 15 and we felt pampered and free to do so many activities during our stay. The kids loved popping into the kitchen where Debra made them special snacks. Barbados in January of 2024 was what we had so looked forward to. A time away from home and a time to rest. We planned, anticipated and finally arrived. We had the most amazing time here achieving personal and group goals but most of all we cannot but mention the people who helped us do that.

This stay at Elsewhere has been nothing short of magical. I have the most incredible memories here from when we were younger, as kids and teenagers snorkelling, jet-sking and countless adventures.
